Although Skopelos does not have its own airport, you can still reach the island by flying to the neighboring island of Skiathos. Skiathos Island National Airport (JSI) is well-connected to several international airports and major cities in Greece. From Skiathos, you can take a ferry to Skopelos Island. The ferry ride from Skiathos to Skopelos city usually takes around 1 hour and to Glossa Village takes around 20 minutes. We chose to arrive in Glossa port from Volos since was both cheaper and faster!

If you are already on Greece’s mainland, many ferries operate from various ports, including Volos, Agios Konstantinos, and Mantoudi. You may even combine your vacation with a trip to the amazing Pilio, Volos or Evia island. Ferry services are available year-round, but the frequency may vary depending on the season. It is advisable to check the ferry schedules in advance and book your tickets accordingly. The journey duration typically ranges from 2 to 4 hours, depending on the departure point and the type of ferry.
