While it’s actually a street, the area is often compared to a mall, Colonnaden has specialty boutiques that you should definitely check out. Built in 1874, Colonnaden features beautiful Wilhelmian architecture with exquisite marble shop fronts. You can find luxury products and high-quality specialty items, such as handcrafted jewelry at Nana Hellwege, paper and pens at Papier & Feder, and custom shoes at Crossford’s. There are many fine restaurants and cafes as well. Pastelaria Caravela serves Portuguese cuisine while Le Pergola Due offers Italian.

If you’re still not ready to finish your trip, Colonnaden is connected to Stephansplatz, which has great food options too. Campus Suite – Stephansplatz is a European cafe that offers pasta, burgers, and latte. Another place to try is Tarantella, a great restaurant that serves Mediterranean cuisine.
This restaurant is found in the Casino Esplanade, another casino under Spielbank Hamburg that’s usually associated with the Casino Mundsburg. The casino is open from 3 pm to 4 am and offers 130 slot machines, tables for roulette, blackjack, and poker.
